Skin Cancer Awareness Month: Our Mission to Protect the Equestrian Community

Skin Cancer Awareness Month: Our Mission to Protect the Equestrian Community

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to education, prevention, and action. At Tull MD Skincare, we’re using this moment to shine a spotlight on a serious health issue that deeply affects the equestrian community—one that is largely preventable: skin cancer.

Why Skin Cancer Awareness Matters

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, with more than 5 million cases diagnosed each year. Riders, trainers, grooms, and others who spend long hours outdoors are especially vulnerable. UV rays don’t take a break—whether it’s a cloudy day, early morning schooling session, or mid-winter ride, sun exposure adds up over time and can lead to permanent damage.

Despite the risks, sun protection is still often overlooked in equestrian life. At Tull MD, we believe it’s time to change that.

Our Goal: Eliminate Skin Cancer in the Equestrian World

Tull MD was created to meet the specific skincare needs of equestrians—starting with serious sun protection. Our mission this month, and every month, is to raise awareness about the dangers of UV exposure and to help eliminate skin cancer within the equestrian community through education and better skincare solutions.

Prevention starts with daily SPF. That’s why we’ve developed a collection of high-performance sunscreens that are easy to wear, easy to reapply, and strong enough to keep up with long days at the barn, in the ring, or on the road.
